I am drawn to the beautiful forms and the complexity of icebergs, they can appear so stark, immense but also delicate at the same time. 

When painting this image, I was hoping to capture its strength and complexity, whilst trying to also capture the delicate colours on the horizon and the immensity of the sky. 

This piece won the Best of Show at the 28th Annual Friends of the Yellow Barn Member Show 2022 in Maryland, USA.  The independent Canadian artist and juror - Ingrid Christensen, described this piece "...as powerful and coherent, with an uncompromising concept and execution “.
