Stories & thoughts behind the artwork
I used to live in Vevey, Canton of Vaud in Switzerland, and this painting was inspired by a recent return trip. Lavaux, Vineyard Terraces are situated along the south facing northern shores of Lake Geneva and overlook the Dents du Midi mountains, and the Cornettes de Bise peaks. I used to walk along the lakefront each morning on my way to work, the view was quite spectacular as you can imagine. I truly adore this part of the world with its mountains, vineyards, history and waterviews.
