Stories & thoughts behind the artwork
This landscape was inspired by a trip to NZ that I took many years ago with my family. It's a view of Queenstown. I thought it might be interesting to represent the landscape as if we were on a platform overlooking the mountain ranges and Lake Wakatipu. I chose greys and softer colours to almost represent the concept of being in between places, but also to help the eye focus outwards and upwards towards the different patterns the clouds and colours were forming in the sky.
